At Jarco Supply, the Inside/Counter Sales Representative
position is a comprehensive opportunity. It interconnects the sales functions with purchasing, warehousing, distribution, and logistics. This position will report to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities to include:
- Open and close the showroom daily – open to customers 7am-5pm
- Sales and customer service
- Provide support to outside sales reps
- Assist with inventory control
- Assist with branch maintenance and housekeeping duties
Activities required to carry out responsibilities:
- Perform opening and closing duties of showroom
- Assist walk-in and phone-in customers at the sales counter/showroom
- Diagnose customer problems and recommend products and solutions
- Write up sales orders, customer quotes, and put together submittal packages
- Pull customer orders and load customer vehicles
- Help Schedule and monitor delivery routes and intra-company transfers
- Help load delivery trucks. Pre-pull orders whenever possible.
- Operate Forklifts and other equipment per Jarco Safety standards
- Assist branch manager in monitoring inventory levels resulting in appropriate replenishment
- Assist with receiving inventory and stocking shelves
- Assist in yearly inventories
- Ensure that showroom, warehouse, and yard are kept neat, orderly, safe, and clean
- Heavy lifting, standing for long periods, climbing up and down on trucks – required for position
- Many other activities and duties are required for this position
